Panopticon Collective is an Australian screen production company founded by Jeni Bezuidenhout and Sebastian Bertoli.
We tell stories that move us and question our place in the world.
Informed by our lived experience as first and second generation immigrants, our work explores themes of death, rebirth and redemption.
The panopticon, a theoretical building where all rooms are visible from a central observation point, reflects the modern panopticon of visual content.
Storytelling unifies, allowing us to shed our individualistic ego, reminding us of our common humanity and fostering interconnectedness.
For both spectator and participant, this collective experience provides opportunities for collaboration and to celebrate our diverse and inclusive community.
Panopticon Collective is based in the Western suburbs of Melbourne, on the stolen and unceded traditional land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.
We respectfully acknowledge their Ancestors and Elders, past and present.
